Do I need to install anything?
No, Clippi runs in the browser.
Do I need an account to record?
No. You can record without signing up, but registering a free account gives you more features, such as seeing your saved videos.
Is Clippi free?
Yes, Clippi has a free Basic plan that is always free. Pro features require a paid subscription.
Is there a watermark?
No, recordings do not include a Clippi watermark.
How long are videos stored?
Basic videos are available for 7 days; Pro videos stay online forever.
Where are my videos stored?
Your videos are stored and delivered through our infrastructure partner Bunny.net. We do not use your videos to train AI models or for anything outside providing the service, and you can delete your videos whenever you want.
Can I record microphone, webcam, and screen?
Yes, depending on browser permissions and selected recording options.
How long can a recording be?
Free Basic recordings can be up to 15 minutes. Pro recordings can be up to 60 minutes.
Who can view my videos?
People with the link can view them unless additional protection settings are used.
Do viewers need to sign up?
No. Viewers can watch shared videos without an account. If you lock a video to a specific email domain, viewers may need to sign in with an allowed email address to access it.
Can I record on mobile?
No. Clippi's screen recording works on desktop browsers only. Mobile browsers do not currently support the required screen capture features reliably.
Which browsers does Clippi support?
Clippi works best in Chromium-based desktop browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Arc. Firefox and Safari support may be limited or unavailable for screen recording.
